Redknee Inc.'s Enhanced Location Services to be used by BT Cellnet

Toronto, Canada and London, UK, Nov. 20th -- Redknee Inc. today announced that its mobile location solution, Synaxis ELS™ (Enhanced Location Server) will be used by UK mobile operator BT Cellnet for delivering location services. Synaxis ELS™ provides mobile location management functionality with web portal and voice portal capabilities for 2G, 2.5G, and 3G networks.

Consumer and business market benefits
With the introduction of Redknee's ELS™ server, BT Cellnet will be able to develop and expand their range of location-based services. These services will run over BT Cellnet's existing GSM and GPRS network.

Both consumer and business markets will benefit from Redknee's ELS™ location-based services. Built into the solution are web access and voice portal options, which provide consumers with complete control over privacy, content and profiling of their information. Business users will be able to receive location-based services for specific business needs, with the addition of improved call management and call distribution capabilities. These will give business users the option of managing and receiving business-related information on demand while out of the office.

"Redknee's technology will enable BT Cellnet to introduce a whole new range of specific location-based services for both consumers and business users. Its advanced solution lays the foundation to further develop our mobile services delivery," commented Claire Jeffries of BT Cellnet.

Open networks enables application development
Redknee's ELS™ location server is built on its open service architecture products, OASIS™ (Open Application Services Interface System). OASIS™ provides a platform that integrates multiple network functions such as real time rating, customer profiling, presence management and support for roaming.

"We are extremely pleased to deliver a complete mobile location solution based on Redknee's OASIS™ into BT Cellnet's network," said Lucas Skoczkowski, COO of Redknee Inc. "This is a significant step for furthering BT Cellnet's success in the delivery of next-generation applications and services."

With a suite of applications built on their OASIS™ and Synaxis™ product lines, Redknee has paved new territory in the mobile industry. Available today, Redknee OASIS™ products leverage 3GPP Open Services Architecture (OSA) and Parlay Group API specifications.
