Redknee Wins Mobile Star Awards For Innovation and Vision
TORONTO – Oct. 23, 2007 – Redknee Solutions Inc. (“Redknee” or the “Company”) (AIM: RKN), a leading provider of innovative infrastructure software that monetizes and personalizes services and content for mobile operators, today announced that it has won two Mobile Star Awards™ from MobileVillage®, the 14-year leader in market development and news services about mobile technology.
The annual Mobile Star Awards™ aim to honor and promote the best companies, products, deployments, and leaders in mobile and wireless technology. Winners are chosen by subscribers to Go Mobile®, MobileVillage’s free online newsletter sent to technology executives, mobile professionals, IT managers, developers, and top tech journalists.
Redknee has been recognized with the following awards:
- A Silver Star award in the category of "Operator Software: Subscriber & Service Management" for its Unified Profile Server (UPS) product.
- A Gold Star award in the category of "Visionary: Enterprise Mobile Software" for Redknee's CEO, Lucas Skoczkowski.
“With all the choices that exist out in the mobile and wireless product markets, it is vital that consumers and businesses have some basis for product comparison,” said MobileVillage Editor Gary Thayer. “MobileVillage provides that foundation with its Mobile Star Awards. This year nearly 2,000 MobileVillage readers cast votes on a wide range of topics. These people have a great knowledge of mobile products and success stories, and are eager to share that knowledge with others.”
Unified Profile Server (UPS) extracts the business value of subscriber Service Personalization when Privacy concerns are addressed and protected. Operators can leverage their key asset – the subscriber –by unifying their permissions and identity across the network into one easy to manage spot. With a captive subscriber base, a profile management service attracts third party enterprises and affiliate services. This empowers subscribers with a way to individually control access to private or sensitive information and to have the ability to choose where, when, and who sees their profile information.
Lucas Skoczkowski, CEO of Redknee, commented, “We are very proud to receive this award, which reflects Redknee’s innovation and industry leadership. The Unified Profile Server is required for any advanced operator – and winning the Silver Star helps highlight Redknee’s pioneering products. Furthermore, I am honored to receive the Gold Star recognition, as it reflects the high caliber of our Redknee team.”
Gold Star recipient, Lucas Skoczkowski, continuously demonstrates vision, insight and innovation in the mobile communications market. Lucas has driven the development of Redknee's product portfolio, sales, and overall organizational success with over 30 customers worldwide. Due to his exceptional leadership, in addition to the Mobile Star Award, Lucas has previously been honored as the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and awarded the Top 40 Under 40 Award for Canada.
