Safaricom Selects Redknee's Mobile Solution
-- USSD Services Make Additional Calling Features Available to Subscribers in Kenya

TORONTO, Ontario – November 15, 2005 – Redknee Inc, a leading global provider of communication software for wireless network operators, today announced it won a contract from Safaricom, Kenya's leading Mobile Telephone Operator. This new contract enables Safaricom's ten million subscribers to take advantage of the USSD service portfolio with an initial deployment of the Call Me service and a USSD Portal in the Kenyan market.

Redknee's USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) Call Me solution allows subscribers to initiate USSD messages and send Call Me requests to a desired number. Safaricom will benefit from Redknee's USSD Call Me solution through increased incoming call revenues as it enables subscribers to receive calls in a calling-party-pays environment. The solution also greatly reduces problems associated with 'flashing' -- when a subscriber establishes a call and hangs up after the first ring consuming network resources without generating revenue. It is estimated that the Redknee USSD/Call Me solution will dramatically reduce 'flashing' thus allowing more revenue-generating services with fewer network resources.

The Redknee USSD solution architecture is highly scalable, and is designed in a modular fashion, which allows Safaricom to easily extend its USSD service portfolio with additional Redknee USSD application or third party applications.

Safaricom is the sixth network operator to deploy Redknee's USSD Call Me solution.

Redknee did not disclose any financial details about the deal, but said the integration of Redknee's USSD solution was performed within 5 weeks and the service was in production in August 2005.
