Redknee's Wireless Prepaid Services and Enhanced Messaging Gateway Approved for Interoperability with Nortel CDMA Wireless Infrastructure

Toronto, CANADA — April 11, 2005 — Redknee today announced that its Wireless Prepaid Services, Voice Charging 3.0 and Enhanced Messaging Gateway (EMG), version 6.0 have achieved interoperability approval from Nortel*. This was achieved using CDMA infrastructure equipment located at Nortel’s Wireless Interoperability Lab in Richardson, Texas. Redknee’s EMG and Wireless Prepaid Services are now compliant with ANSI-41/IS826 signaling standards and are approved for interoperability with Nortel’s Mobile Telephone Exchange (MTX) 12

“Nortel is a leading infrastructure solutions provider for CDMA networks and the successful interoperability testing with Nortel confirms the ease of our Converged Billing and EMG deployments for CDMA network environments," said Lucas Skoczkowski, CEO of Redknee. “This interworking emphasizes Redknee's commitment to providing wireless carriers seamless integration of our advanced, cost-effective voice and messaging real-time rating and charging solution.”

Wireless Prepaid Services, a key component of Redknee’s Converged Billing Solution, has also demonstrated interoperability with Nortel’s MSC. This substantially reduces the integration time, allowing service providers to accelerate the launch of prepaid services and reduce operational costs. Redknee’s proven Converged Billing solution allows operators to create flexible and comprehensive rating rules and offer real time rating and charging for mobile prepaid voice calls in an ANSI-41 (CDMA, TDMA) network and supports prepaid, postpaid and hybrid subscribers. The use of standard and open interfaces enables seamless integration into networks for current and future demands.

Redknee’s comprehensive EMG solution has successfully obtained interoperability approval through proven seamless connectivity to Nortel MSC and HLR equipment. EMG enables operators to generate new revenues from flexible real-time rating and charging for SMS. Operators benefit from cost savings through offloading traffic from their existing SMSC using an innovative first shot delivery mechanism, which reduces network load.
