Toronto, Canada — February 14, 2005 — Redknee Inc., the leading global provider of communication software to wireless telecommunication network operators, today launched its Mobile Office Manager (MoM): a wireless PBX solution to enable operators to offer a “virtual receptionist” package to address the ever increasing corporate mobile market.
MoM targets a wide range of business customers, from companies who are replacing their legacy PBX systems to those diverging out into the mobile work force or seeking a quick and cost-effective solution to improve the performance and efficiency of both internal and external communications. This wireless PBX solution enables service providers to offer a myriad of time-saving and revenue generating business services such as simplified dialing plans, incoming call management, least cost routing, enhanced closed user group messaging, and differential hybrid billing.
Redknee’s MoM solution is like having a virtual receptionist who can screen, route, park or recall calls automatically. It supports intelligent routing for incoming voice calls based on the pre-set priorities defined by the subscriber, such as call state (ringing or busy) or elapsed time (amount of time phone has been ringing). Groups of handsets can be dialed simultaneously or sequentially, depending on availability. Also, automatic call completion makes it easier for businesses to complete successful calls rather than repeat dialing if a number is unreachable, busy, or rejected, while the Do Not Disturb function provides privacy.
Network operators can apply differential billing and capture revenue for business, personal and non-business hour calls made by employees through MoM’s highly customizable numbering plans and hybrid accounts. Companies also benefit by only paying for business related calls through their mobile phones, while personal calls are paid by the employees from a private postpaid or prepaid account.
MoM is being launched following a highly successful trial with a Tier 1 mobile operator in the EU. Feedback from both the operator and its business customers was that the Incoming Call Management features, hunt group functionality and differential hybrid functions were particularly powerful offerings. The ability to provide these innovative features allows the service provider to attract a large number of enterprise customers, creating new revenue potential by attracting high end subscribers and enterprise accounts and reducing operational costs, while providing leading-edge services to address the evolving business market.
