Redknee Accelerates Cloud-Based Billing Adoption
TORONTO and SAN FRANCISCO – September 24, 2013: Redknee Solutions Inc. (TSX: RKN), a leading provider of business-critical billing and charging software and solutions for communications service providers (CSPs), is pleased to announce that it is accelerating the ability of its customers to launch cloud-based billing and customer care solutions as a result of its strategic relationship with Microsoft Windows Azure.
In June 2013, Microsoft Corp. and Oracle announced a partnership to help customers and software service providers embrace cloud computing by providing greater choice and flexibility in how to deploy software. Redknee has spearheaded the development of cloud-based converged billing solutions in the communications space, and today will present at Oracle OpenWorld the first cloud-based revenue and customer management solution to leverage the combination of Oracle Linux, Oracle Database and Java running on Microsoft’s Windows Azure.
Redknee’s CEO, Lucas Skoczkowski, will appear with Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President Brad Anderson at Oracle OpenWorld in San Francisco at 1:30pm PST to discuss how the Microsoft and Oracle Cloud Alliance will support service providers and other customers, and especially communications and utility companies around the globe. In the presentation, Mr. Skoczkowski will also provide a demo of Redknee’s cloud-based billing and customer care solution for utility providers and show how they can benefit from leveraging a carrier-grade, real-time billing and customer care solution running on Microsoft Windows Azure.
